I missed Random Tuesday and Wordless Wednesday and find myself here on Thursday. And it’s been a heck of an AWOL week.
First – I GOT THE JOB!!!! Looks like around the second week of December, I’ll be an investigation program assistant! I interviewed last Thursday morning and before I could get home from work that afternoon, they called and wanted to meet me again that night. We, meaning my soon-to-be supervisor and one of the agents, all met at a Wendy’s that was at the halfway point for all of us. I felt like a spy … meeting at Wendy’s … sitting in the back corner … talking in hushed tones. I was told that night that they were 99.99% sure the job was mine, and the next morning, it was confirmed with a phone call.
All day on Thursday my upper back was tight and I figured it was mostly nerves about the interview. Wrong. By bedtime, I was miserable. I couldn’t stand … couldn’t lay … couldn’t sit … without it hurting something fierce. I went to the doctor on Friday morning and was diagnosed with an upper back sprain/strain. Got some yummy muscle relaxers and stayed in bed until Tuesday morning. Even now, it’s tender – but I’m trying to be careful with how I move and I’m not lifiting anything heavy.
Now, it’s time to catch up on some work … and start pulling my personal stuff off my work computer.
