I love the show Survivor.
Thursday at 8:00 pm used to be family time and we’d all gather around the television to watch Survivor. Hubby dropped out. My son dropped out. But me and my little Peanut (16 yo daughter) are hanging in there. We’ve migrated from the living room to my bedroom where the two of us crawl under the covers and spend an hour watching Jeff and the gang.
Not since Rupert decided to play the part of pirate so well as he made off with the other team’s shoes has someone on Survivor proved to be such a player. Russell’s going down in Survivor history. I didn’t care of this obnoxious man from day one. I wanted him voted off from day one. And now – I can’t think of anyone (well, other than the gorgeous Ozzie) who deserves to win this game as much as Russell does. I’m 100% in this guy’s corner and cheering him on … and can’t believe that I’ve done such a turn around.

Survivor is one of the shows I download to my AppleTV. I’m a few weeks behind though (I just watched the show where they merged this morning). I agree that Russell is playing a good game and has been from day 1. I agree that he probably deserves to win with how crafty he’s been in the game.
I don’t like him though and still find myself wishing he’ll get booted…preferably in a blindside.

The part of him I don’t like reminds me of someone … and I can’t put my finger on who. It bugs me.

Gray Matter Matters
I always seem to watch the season opener, so I know who you’re talking about and it was pretty easy to get a sense of what a scumbag he was right off the bat (faking Sept. 11th stories–eesh), but I have to agree, the game is to outwit, outplay and outlast–it’s not always the likable one’s who should win. Although I did love Rupert.
